hi
I've been using a twinQ for over 4 years now and I love it to death... So I thought I'd give him a little brother and I just bought a oneQ today. They are very similar obviously but different enough to justify the buying of both units ( at least to my better half... ;) ). I also bought a Universal Audio LA610mKII, and I have to say that while it's supposed to be a much higher end unit on paper, it's a whole different story in real life. It's a little different for sure, being tube and all, but the units sound a lot closer than the price tag would lead you to believe. They both have a vintage vibe with lots of character, but not overwhelmingly so. I honestly wouldn't say one is better, they have a different flavor that's all. The OneQ is the most versatile unit of all three though, so if I had to keep only one, it would be the oneQ, and that's saying a lot... The Meek stuff is on 80% of the voice tracks of my album ( long overdue, but will be finished in december ), about half of the acoustic guitars are recorded through the twinQ, and all choirs go through the TwinQ too. The OneQ will be the only processor for the lead vocal parts except for a couple of reverb, delays and chorus plug-ins...
So I just wanted to say thanks for making such great gear at a price that the average recording musician can afford.
