..., it has been up and running in Studio A the entire time. It's Alex's goto mic for vocals now.

Harvey,
You guys are really impressed with the T3! That's great. I have the TB1 and love it. I know there is a difference. Have you worked with the TB1? If so, can you tell how they are different?
I would like to get a ribbon (at this point the R84 or Joemeek ribbon when available) and another mic just so I have a bit of variety. I really like the PMI company, so maybe getting the T3 and a ribbon would be something to consider in the future?
I know I want to upgrade my threeQ to the oneQ at some point in the next few months. It's nice to have both. I can use the threeQ at church and the oneQ at home.
Thanks for any input on the T3 and TB1.

The T3 is magical; a lot like the old AKG C12, or the Tele Ela M251. The multi-patterns let you control the "reach" and the desired proximity effect. It has "air", which is different from high end boost or harshness.

So Harvey you think the T3 would be a good upgrade from the TB1? Do you think I should wait until the new PMI ribbons come out? I was think about getting the R84, but you like the PMI ribbon you've tested and I may do better to get the T3 first and later get the ribbon.
Any suggestions?

I'd go for the T3 if it were my choice. It is so different from any of the other SP mics.
