How SPers
Just kidding...I thought it would get your attention. Ive got a Brauner valvet that Im comparing a c1 with. The c1 actually holds up quite well...except for the sizzle up top. I much prefer to get the sound correct before it hits the ad's. My mic is out of warranty so Im asking this question with full acceptance of responsibility; Which caps etc would need to be replaced to ease a bit of the sizzle ie maybe 1-2 db of the 12k hump. I dont want it to replace the valvet but rather get rid of the use of eq and deess as of course a bit of comp ups the sibilance already. Im finally getting to the point of takes only needing a bit of comp and it just sounds so much better than plugitis!

Well you can cut your EQ at 12K by 2dB. I cut and boost in several freq ranges when I use Neumann mics and some others. Velvet is a good mic, but way more than a C1.
