Well it was not abandoned, but what happened was the digital card costs was too high from the company that was working on it. We did not design the Firewire portion of the unit. So with all the delay's, these firewire units have become less popular and prices are dropping.

We are still looking for another source for the digital card that is more affordable. If we can find it, we will still do it.
