VTB1 Input Overload?

I've been getting great results with my pair of VTB1's with my c-4's, jm27's, dynamic mics and all...But I have a couple line-level units that I use through them (the "monitor" out on my acoustic 370, stereo outs on my Ensoniq SD-1), and I get close to redline even with the input level on the VTB1's at 0 and the output on the afore mentioned units turned down. At lower volumes from the bass amp and sequencer I'm getting more noise, so it behooves me to keep a healthy attenuation.

The impedance on the VTB1's is set at 200 oHms...Yes, I still have a sane output level control and I'm getting a great fat signal, I'm just worried about burning something up...
