I bought a secondhand JM47 a year ago.I was told it was only used at one time so it was like new in condition.I tried the mic out some days ago for the first time and itīs only makinīsome hiss and crackeling noise.It looks brand new so what can be wrong??? Itīs the old black/green version.

Magnus,

The old black JM47 with the green lettering is some 14 years old, so perhaps if it has been sitting for so long, the capsule might have failed from moisture or rust. I do not know know without it coming into our service facility.

Iīm in Sweden so send it to service abroad is not an option for me.Just need some advise of what to do/try on my own.Any helps,thanks.

Are you technical and have any test equipment?

Our service center is in the UK, so that is not abroad.
