I just got permission from Spoonfed Tribe to post a track here from their new unreleased album. It's the only track that's completely finished so far; it's gonna be a double album.

The vocals were all done with the Studio Projects T3 mic.
(In all fairness, all the drums were done with MXL's.)

The T3 is a killer mic. I just wish my wife would let me use it sometime!
Late at night I sneak into the studio and talk lovingly to our T3. Hope my wife doesn't find out! My C1 is already very jealous. :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... but when Harvey says it, I feel even better about it. :)

The T3 is now Alex's "go to" vocal mic, and has been ever since we got it.

I just was sent a very interesting rough mix from the Fender School. The entire recording was done on a twinQ. Drums were miked with two mics, and everything else was tracked one or two at a time with the twinQ.
I am trying to get permission to put it up for you guys....

And this information belongs in the Studio Projects forum, how?
Alan, we all know you're a shill for the Joe Meeks stuff, so quit your spamming and put it in the Joe Meeks Forum, where it belongs !! This forum is reserved for discussions about the Studio Projects line of products, or are you implying that the VTB1 isn't as good as the Joe Meeks stuff? Well, I have a VTB1 and it rulz.
If you persist in this kind of spamming, I WILL notify one of the moderators. You've been warned!!

You tell him! Damn spammers. I think that cheap chinese Joemeek stuff should be kept out of the cheap chinese Studio Projects forum.
If I wanted a 'twinQ' instead of a T3, I'd get Harvey to start a thread about it, ok? :D
That mic is insane. Just bought a C1. I'm planning to invest into it soon.

hi hargest,
I listened to "consequence.mp3" and in my opinion, the vocals sound slightly sibilant now and then and also kind of "metallic".

Ben,
What are you listening through.......ie: signal chain from mp3 through to speakers?
"Metallic"....hmmmm.
Talking about metallic.................satanoscillatemymetallics onatas ........believed to be the longest known palindrome :) . Now, back to listening to The Band ;)

i just realized the mp3 is in 96kb.
my observations could primarily be influenced by the mp3 compression.
some raw recorded takes would be interesting to hear. I don't remember any thread on the net where someone posted some clean recorded vocals with the T3, yet...
WAV files would be nice.

I found the vocal to be way back in the mix and (what I think was) the main guitar over the top...........deliberate or the result of the mp3, I'm not sure. Running from the PC into my S/craft, EQ's flat and listening on Tannoys.
Ben, for what it's worth there's a T3 available for listening, read through this thread and you'll find the link http://www.pmiaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183.
BTW, I'll stress this from that thread....."The wedding was outdoors and the mix was done to reflect this and the fact that it was essentially a backing track for the vocals to be sung over live...........so the vocal track here was put down as a guide so we knew what it would sound like when performed "on the day"."
