Hello PMI fellas. I remember reading a thread here talking about a firewire interface a long time ago, you guys asking for tips and directions and stuff like that, and i want to know, since i'll be buying one of these soon, if yours is coming out soon. I have several of your products (JM37, Studio Projects C1, etc, etc.) and would like to stay around.
I'm particularly interested in knowing how many analog 1/4" balanced mono outs will it have and wether or not there will be adat capability.
Thank you.

The files were finalized just a couple of weeks ago. Build files have been sent to our factory but we are just in the prototype stange. Hard to say how long it will tak, but we are doing it.

Cheers Alan,
apreciate it. But how many analog mono outputs are you aiming at? Is it something that can be given away yet? I could really use a heads up here, 'cause i'll either wait for it, or otherwise it won't be worth it and it's time I can avoid wasting. Thanks.

Hey, that sounds cool. For what it is worth, I am using the Echo AudioFire 12, which is a great unit, 12 balanced ins/outs. Be great if it had some digital ins of some sort. Good convereters, with a nice wide soundstage. It has however no mic pre's. That is where my SP-828, Toft ATC-2 and dual VTB-1's come in handy. Gives me 12 nice mic pre's....
Maybe a 10 in 10 out dual rack space firewire version of the SP-828, offering digital in, with maybe two 'boutique' mic pre's for channel 1 and 2 could be cool. A redesigned faceplate offering slightly improved led monitoring could be cool. Use the burr Brown mic pres etc.... Offer an attractive sculptured face plate like the new Joe Meeks, or Toft units, and I think it would be a winner!
I am sure you are definitely a few steps ahead of my thoughts, but just some ideas for what it is worth.
Look forward to whatever it will look like!
