I just purchased the TwinQ. I record using the Roland SI-24 (fed into the computer via the RPC-1 R-BUS) which has both the RCA and Optical type digital ins. First, is it better to use the digital outs on the TwinQ rather than sending the analog signal to the mixer. And if so have you found either the RCA or Optical type connection superior. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom Sandelier

Tom,

No real advantage between one or the other as far as Optical or Coax. I prefer direct tracking myself and would use the Meek's dig out.

Wow! Great job guys, the TwinQ is so user friendly. I tried both ways and think I like the Digital out better, tough to tell though, real close. Actually I'm using both outs for monitoring purposes, for some reason I can't get real time monitoring through the digital out, any ideas on that? Great job on the input sections totaly versatile. I can leave Mic cables plugged into the back so I don't have to get back there all the time, I also keep aux sends on my board plugged into the line inputs for use as a mastering tool. The line switch on the front makes this possible and I can even plug my bass right into the front anytime I wanna record that. So easy to get it sounding good and my early mixing attempts are already sounding better than before. Thanks for making such a great product.
