Hi, I don't know if this is the right place for technical issues, but here I go :)
I just bought a Joe Meek VC1 v2.01 (used).
It seems that when I use phantom powered mics I get this really ugly hum.
It works fine with both line instruments and non-phantom mics.
After I tried different cables, inputs, outputs etc. I found that the noise is there only when the compressor or the enhancer is on. However the noise gets louder when the compressor is working. My theory is that the noise has something to do with the LEDs, when they're on/flash the hum is there, LEDs off and there's no hum.
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.
