Here's the first two questions for Harvey...

1. Who's Harvey?
( I'm thinking a very large rabbit ;) )

2. What sort of questions should I be asking of him?

Well, I am being a little facetious, but I also don't like to make assumptions.

No real information is provided in the forum description, and frankly, I'm a bit surprised in light of his other virtual (and real) duties that he'd have a hat hook at a specific manufacturer forum like this.

If they had forums like:
"Meet Malcolm", or
"Rap with Rupert", or
"Just George"

we might all make some assumptions about who's hosting the party, but for all we know, they all work in shipping at PMI. :D

So, I'm playing dumb on behalf of those that may not know, or those too shy to ask. ;)

Ray,

Harvey is Harvey Gerst. Harvey is a good friend, and a long time industry Icon. He has played with many bands from the 60's, designed gear for Akai, JBL, and much more.

Recently, Harvey runs a recording studio, although his son Alex seems to be more at the control these days, but Harvey is one of those guys that has been around for a long time, and basically caries a very big stick when it comes to knowledge not only in use, but in the design phase as well.

Harvey has been doing reviews for many manufacturers and is known to not sugar coat anything. He tells it like it is, good and bad. He does this with our products as well, so he is not here to say he is a devout supporter of our products, but rather as a friend wanting to give back to the industry some of what he has learned.

He is not paid...no money, no gear. We do not censor him, or ask him to say good things about our gear or anyone else's. He is free to say what he wants to say.

Harvey has posted many stickies relating to product knowledge that are still in many other forums and have been viewed by tens of thousands of people. So when we started this forum, I asked him if he would grace us with a thread...He was kind and said yes.

So, that is a little about Harvey. Now we have been off line for a while and I am not sure he knows we are back up. I am sure we or others will get him a message and he will start dropping by again to share the wealth of knowledge he is so willing to share...

Are you telling me that the guy working in the warehouse isn't the REAL Elvis Presley?

Damn, Elvis wanted to keep that a secret while we work on his new project. Now everyone will know...

Well, Alex runs the big studio here (Studio A), and Scott Headstream usually works our smaller Studio B (although I seem to be doing a lot more in Studio B lately). Alex also runs the SSL mixdown room in Lewisville as well.
