I'm helping my sons band with setting up a bass rig for live shows. The music of choice is pop/rock with a mix of some hardcore. We have been doing alot of research of online to put toghether a bass rig without spending a ton, I looked at alot of preamp setups using Alembic, Demeter and Kern which are a little spendy. Wanted to know if anyone has used the VC6Q as a live setup for bass. Looking at running into a QSC 1602 and a Schroder 21012 cab.
Thanks

A lot of bass players use the 6Q for that and have had great results. In fact those who spend the time on them seem to never want to change their setup. Its a great unit for live use.
What about the SixQ? Am I mistaken in thinking of it as basically a newer version of the VC6Q? Are there any samples of a bass played through a SixQ around?
